How to play
- You get a real screenshot from a Steam game, zoomed a long way in.
- Type the game’s name and press Guess. You get 6 tries, and the shot zooms out a step after each wrong one.
- Stuck? The release year appears after 2 misses, the price after 4.
- A guess is marked with a tick when you named the game and a cross when you did not. The mark carries the answer, the colour only repeats it.
- New game every midnight UTC. Keep your streak alive and share your grid.
About Shotdle
Shotdle draws from the same Steam pool as Steamdle, and steps past Steamdle’s game on any day the two would land together: Steamdle names its game openly, which would give the screenshot away. A typed name that is not in the pool costs you nothing, so a spelling slip is never a wasted try.
Questions
Is it the same game for everyone?
Yes. Everyone gets the same mystery screenshot each day, rotating at midnight UTC, so your grid is comparable with your friends.
Where do the screenshots come from?
They are the games' own official store screenshots, straight from Steam. The crop lands on a different spot each day, so even a game you know takes a second look.
Where can I see past answers?
The Vorla answers page lists yesterday's game and every one before it. Today's stays hidden until midnight UTC.
