How to play
- You get a real Steam game: its store art and its release year.
- Type what you think its regular US price is and press Guess. You get 4 tries.
- Each guess tells you to go higher or lower, and how close you were. The colour and the words say the same thing.
- Win by landing within $2 of the real price. A new game arrives every midnight UTC, and a win keeps your streak alive.
- Within $2 a win
- Within $5 so close
- Within $10 getting warm
- Further out cold, keep going
About Steamdle
The price you are guessing is the standard US list price, never a sale price, so the answer is the same whenever you play. Every player gets the same game on the same UTC day, which is what makes a shared grid worth reading.
Your streak and stats live on this device. Sign in on vorla.dev and they follow you to every other one. Archive rounds are for fun only: they never touch your streak or your stats.
Questions
Which price do I have to guess?
The game's standard US list price, not a sale price. We use the regular price so the answer is stable no matter when you play.
Is it the same game for everyone?
Yes. Everyone gets the same mystery game each day, rotating at midnight UTC, so your grid is comparable with friends.
Do my stats save?
Your streak and stats save on your device, and sync across devices if you sign in on vorla.dev.
Where can I see past answers?
The answers page lists yesterday’s answer and every game before it. Today’s answer stays hidden until midnight UTC.
