Best modifier for melee
Legendary
- +15% damage
- +10% speed
- +5% crit
- +10% size
- +15% knockback
The all-round best for melee weapons, with every relevant stat boosted. Whips also count as melee, so give them Legendary too.
Top weapon modifiers
Every top-tier modifier gives +15% damage, +5% crit and +15% knockback. The class-specific ones add one more perk each. Reforge toward your weapon's best.

Godly and Demonic are the best universal options for weapons that cannot roll a class-specific perk. Demonic is a cheaper stand-in for Mythical if you are low on coins; you just lose the mana reduction.
Best accessory modifiers
Accessories roll a different set. Each of these is the top tier of its stat line, so reforge every accessory toward the one your build wants.

Menacing (all-out damage) and Warding (survivability) are the two most common picks. A full set of Menacing adds +24% damage across six accessories.
Coin converter
Reforging costs roughly a third of the item's value per roll, and the Goblin Tinkerer quotes it in mixed coins. Type any amount to see it every other way. 100 of each tier makes one of the next.

1 platinum = 100 gold = 10,000 silver = 1,000,000 copper. A stack caps at 999 of a tier, and coins auto-combine in your inventory, so the tidy form above is what you will actually be holding.
How reforging works
- Reforge at the Goblin Tinkerer. He appears after you beat the Goblin Army, then rescue him bound somewhere underground.
- Each reforge costs coins, about a third of the item's value, and gives a random modifier. You can re-roll as many times as you can afford.
- Only the best positive modifier matters. There is no downside to re-rolling until you hit it.
