How to play
- Guess the secret word. Every guess has to be a real word.
- After each guess the tiles show how close you are. Green with a solid dot is the right letter in the right spot, amber with a hollow ring is the right letter in the wrong spot, and a plain grey tile is a letter that is not in the word at all.
- Daily: one five letter word in 5 tries, the same for everyone, new at midnight UTC. Win two days running and your streak starts counting.
- Custom: pick four to six letters and four to eight tries, and play as many rounds as you like. Custom rounds never touch your streak.
About this Wordle
A free Wordle with no ads that you can actually change. The daily puzzle is the classic: one common five letter word, five tries, one puzzle a day shared by every player. Custom mode opens the dials, from short sharp four letter rounds to roomy six letter, eight try games for warming up.
Missed a day? The daily answers page lists yesterday's word and every one before it. Today's stays hidden until midnight UTC.
Your streak is saved on this device, and signing in keeps it across devices. Prefer guessing Minecraft things? Try Blockle, the daily Minecraft guessing game, or the rest of the six dailies.
Questions
Is this Wordle free?
Yes. No ads, no sign-up, no limit on custom games. Signing in is optional and only syncs your streak between devices.
When does the daily word change?
At midnight UTC. Everyone plays the same word on the same day, and the countdown on the endcard says how long is left.
How is the daily word chosen?
From a fixed pool, by a rule that takes only the day number, so the same day always gives the same word to every player on every device. Nothing is random and nothing is personalised.
Where can I see yesterday's answer?
On the daily answers page. It lists yesterday and every day before it. Today stays hidden until midnight UTC.
Can I play a day I missed?
Yes. The archive holds every puzzle back to number 1. Free players get one archive round a week, Premium opens all of them, and an archive round never touches your streak or your stats.
