How the crafting tree works

  • Type an item name and pick it. Its recipe appears as a tree: the crafting station plus every ingredient and amount.
  • Any ingredient that is itself craftable expands further, all the way down to base materials you mine, drop, buy or fish.
  • The full breakdown follows the primary recipe at each step and totals up every raw material and intermediate craft. Set the quantity to plan a batch.
  • Some items have several recipes, so switch between them with the recipe buttons. Reversible conversions, meaning Extractinator ore swaps and Shimmer, are marked and not auto-expanded, so a base ore never shows up as crafted from something else.

Questions

How do I see what an item is made of in Terraria?

Search the item by name, then read its tree from the top down. Every ingredient that is itself craftable has a toggle you can open to reveal its own recipe, recursively, all the way down to the raw materials you mine, drop, buy or fish.

What do I need to craft the Zenith?

Search Zenith and open the full breakdown. The tool follows the primary recipe at every step and rolls up the complete list of base materials and intermediate swords you must craft, plus every crafting station you will visit.

Does it tell me the total materials for a big weapon?

Yes. The full breakdown card rolls up all the base materials and the intermediate items you craft along the way, plus every station you need. Change the quantity to scale the whole list.

Why is an ore shown as a base material and not crafted?

Terraria has reversible conversion recipes, like swapping Demonite and Crimtane at the Extractinator, or Shimmer transmutations. Those are not real crafting steps, so the tree stops at genuine base materials instead of looping.

Where does the crafting data come from?

The current, non-legacy recipe set from the official Terraria wiki (terraria.wiki.gg): 3,905 recipes with their exact ingredients, amounts and stations. Vorla is not affiliated with Re-Logic.
